Summary:
This amendment proposes to update Chapter 7 of the City Code as part of the Parks Code Scrub project which spans multiple chapters of the City Code. All changes to Chapter 7 (FIGURE 1) of the City Code need to be reviewed by the Chapter 7 Code Scrub Committee and a recommendation to City Council made by the City Planning Commission.

The proposed draft will revise the following:
? Update references to the Parks and Recreation Department to add Cultural Services to
its name.
? Change the reference in City Code ? 7.3.402B PK- Public Park Zone Districts from
"tennis" to "sport" courts to reflect other court uses such as pickle ball.
? Adds "cultural" resources reference to City Code ? 7.3.402B.
? Strikes language pertaining to City Code ? 7.5.1007 review to align with the inclusion of
those standards as applicable in Chapter 4 of the City Code. The proposed Chapter
4 revisions are included for comparison purposes.

Previous Council Action:
The only official City Council action to date was a recommendation to assign City Councilmembers to each Department to assist with their respective code revisions.
