Summary:
The attached supplemental appropriation ordinance from the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department is to increase the revenue and expenditure appropriation in the Pikes Peak - America's Mountain (PPAM) Fund in the amount of $250,000 for the Summit Complex project, and to increase the revenue and expenditure appropriation in the General Fund in the amount of $24,000 for the Acacia Park Ice Rink. The funding source for both items is the Lodgers and Automobile Rental Tax (LART) Fund.

Background:
The LART committee approved an initial award of $150,000 for the design and construction of the new PPAM Summit Complex. Subsequently, the LART committee approved an additional award of $100,000 for the PPAM Summit Complex project from the funding that is no longer needed for the Pikes Peak Cycling USA Pro Cycling Challenge project. The total award from LART for the PPAM Summit Complex is $250,000. This supplemental appropriation request is to add the $250,000 of revenue and expenditure appropriation to the PPAM Fund to accommodate the LART funds designated for the Summit Complex project.
The LART committee also approved an award of $24,000 for the Acacia Park Ice Rink, which, in partnership with the Downtown Partnership, provides the Skate in the Park experience each holiday season.
