  Summary:

The Colorado Springs Airport’s (COS) 2021 pavement rehabilitation project to its west runway - Runway 17R/35L, was selected as the recipient of the “Best in Colorado” award in the airport category by the Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association. The runway was closed for only 90 days while the project was completed, leaving minimal impact to COS aviation tenants and users. COS partnered with RS&H and Kiewit for the project, which extended the life of the runway at least until 2041.
