A public hearing will be conducted for City Council to consider proposed changes to Colorado Springs Utilities' Electric, Natural Gas, Water and Wastewater Rate Schedules, and Utilities Rules and Regulations as reflected in the 2022 Rate Case filing to be effective January 1, 2022 unless otherwise noted.
Background:
On September 28, 2021, Colorado Springs Utilities filed the 2022 Rate Case, including resolutions, tariff sheets, and all supporting documentation that proposed changes to Electric, Natural Gas, Water, and Wastewater Rate Schedules and Utilities Rules and Regulations to be effective January 1, 2022 unless otherwise noted.
In accordance with the City Code of the City of Colorado Springs ? 12.1.108, copies of the rate filing were available for public inspection in the City Clerk office beginning on September 28, 2021. Notice of the proposed changes was provided by publication in The Gazette on October 1, 2021. The 2022 Rate Case filing was also posted on the Colorado Springs Utilities' website at www.csu.org, and electronic copies were provided to City Council members.
Previous Council Action:
On September 28, 2021, City Council approved the proposed public hearing date of
November 9, 2021 for the consideration of resolutions regarding certain changes to Electric, Natural Gas, Water and Wastewater Rate Schedules, and Utilities Rules and Regulations.
Financial Implications:
Colorado Springs Utilities is proposing certain rate schedule and Utilities Rules and Regulations changes as reflected in the 2022 Rate Case filing.
