Summary:
This position was advertised and Mayor Suthers and Councilmember Jill Gaebler conducted interviews in 2016. Mr. Feffer was appointed to serve a five year term in March of 2016. CSURA Board Executive Director, Jariah Walker, endorsed re-appointment of Mr. Feffer therefore, Mayor Suthers recommends Gary Feffer for re-appointment to a five year term.

Background:
The Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority (CSURA) was established by the City of Colorado Springs City Council in 1970 through the approval of Ordinance No. 3995.
The current board consists of nine commissioners appointed for a term of five years and terms are staggered so one vacancy occurs each year. Accordance with HB-1348, four additional commissioner positions have been added to the board: one to be appointed by El Paso County, one to be appointed by the School Districts, one to be appointed by the Special Districts and one to be appointed by the Mayor.
Previous Council Action:
Gary Feffer's appointment to the Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority Board was approved by City Council on March 22 2016.
