  Summary:

City Charter § 3-10(e) requires City Council to prescribe the salary of the City Council Administrator by ordinance.

 

  Background: 

It is recommended that Emily Evan’s annual salary as City Council Administrator be set at $113,942, representing a 10% increase effective January 12, 2021.

The proposed salary is within the range established for the position of City Council Administrator in the 2021 Salary Structure and would be paid together with applicable benefits.

  Previous Council Action:

Emily Evans was appointed City Council Administrator on November 28, 2018 by Ordinance 18-120 at an annual salary of $98,614. Ordinance 18-20 was amended by Ordinance 19-97, thereby prescribing the annual salary of the City Council Administrator at $103,584 effective December 28, 2019.

 

  Financial Implications:

The salary increase for Ms. Evans is $10,358 annually.
