Previous Council Action:
This discussion item first appeared on the December 9, 2019 City Council Work Session agenda, where the Council received a briefing and overview of 2019 legislative changes, housekeeping amendments to align with changes to state statures, and a MMJ Code change to allow CBD sales in centers. City Council directed that these items be discussed with the Council President's Special Marijuana Working Group for report or recommendation back to Council. The Working Group report was provided at the September 21, 2020 City Council Work Session. After a robust discussion, City Council directed staff to prepare an ordinance to amend the MMJ Code to make the housekeeping changes and to allow CBD sales in Marijuana Centers.
