The City of Colorado Springs recognizes that the Pikes Peak region has had a continual Indigenous presence since time immemorial, and that Indigenous people gathered at local landmarks such as Garden of the Gods and at the base of “Sun Mountain,” now called Pikes Peak-America’s Mountain and left indelible marks on the history of our community
