Due to the resignation of Zach McComsey, effective 6/30/2017 an opening on the Colorado Springs Health Foundation Board became available. This opening was posted online and several interviews were conducted. Martha Barton was appointed to a three year term expiring 6/30/2020. Mayor Suthers recommends Martha Barton for reappointment.

Background:
The Colorado Springs Health Foundation (CSHF) was created to oversee the funds that the City of Colorado Springs receives from the lease of Memorial Health System, now operating as UCHealth - Memorial Hospital. This Foundation was charged with stewarding these funds in perpetuity for addressing health issues in the Pikes Peak Region.

City Council approved Martha Barton’s first appointment to the Colorado Springs Health Foundation effective 06/30/2017.
