  Summary:

The proposed resolution expresses City Council’s continued appreciation for the work of the Council of Neighbors and Organizations (CONO) to support neighborhoods in the Pikes Peak region and declares the month of September 2019 as Neighbor Up! Month in Colorado Springs. CONO is transitioning from Neighbor Up! Week in April to Neighbor Up! Month in September. This resolution begins the kickoff of CONO’s 2019 planning process for the September event.

 

  Previous Council Action: 

On April 24, 2018, City Council adopted Resolution 35-18 in support of CONO and Neighbor Up! week.

This item supports the City’s strategic goal relating to building community and collaborative relationships, as CONO is a key, strategic partner in supporting our City’s neighborhoods and furthering our citizen outreach and engagement.
