Title

A Resolution Regarding Certain Changes to Colorado Springs Utilities’ Electric Rate Tariff

  Presenter:

Steve Carr, Key Account Manager, Customer Services Department
Jerry Forte, P.E., Chief Executive Officer, Colorado Springs Utilities

Body

  Summary:

Request to consider final billing for United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) privatization project.

  Previous Council Action:

Original approval of resolution on August 12, 2008 with additional approvals for expanded scope of work in subsequent years.

  Background:

On August 12, 2008 City Council approved a resolution in response to the USAFA’s request to provide electric and facilities service within the geographic confines of the Academy.  Numerous tariff changes have been approved by City Council since 2008 as the result of additional contract modifications and projects. Utilities will present a request to consider final billing for the USAFA privatization project.  This billing is required to complete several additional projects in 2017 with costs exceeding the credit balance from prior tariff billing.

  Financial Implications:

No other customers are impacted.  USAFA is paying for the project costs in full.
