Fire Prevention Week has been observed nationally in October since 1920, but the Colorado Springs Fire Department uses the whole month to offer fire prevention educational opportunities in the community.  This item supports the City’s commitment to building community and collaborative relationships by providing information and education to our citizens on preventing fires and saving lives.
