  Summary:

The Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement’) between the City of Colorado Springs and Douglas County, Colorado for the purpose of providing cooperative and mutually beneficial disaster and emergency management services through the sharing of equipment and personnel.

 

  Previous Council Action: 

Resolution 205-09 was passed and Disaster Mutual Aid was established with Douglas County, Colorado in 2009.

 

  Background:

The previous agreement expired in September 2014.  This version of the agreement has been reviewed and revised to reflect current statutes and practices.

 

  Financial Implications:

No new financial implications.  This is re-establishing an agreement that has historically been in place.

 

  Board/Commission Recommendation:

To adopt and sign the agreement with Douglas County, Colorado

 

  Stakeholder Process:

The agreement has been reviewed by emergency managers and legal counsel for both jurisdictions.
