 Summary:
Each May is designated Historic Preservation Month by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and as Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month by the State of Colorado. The City of Colorado Springs features many historic treasures that will be celebrated during the month.
 
Preservation Month is an opportunity to create awareness of the rich history of the City and to recognize the ongoing community efforts to preserve this history.  Throughout May, the Historic Preservation Board, as well as individuals with the City's Old North End Neighborhood and Historic Preservation Alliance will work toward highlighting the cultural and historic resources within the City limits.

The City Council previously proclaimed May 2013 to be Historic Preservation Month.
