Lynette was originally appointed to fill a two year term on March 12, 2013 and reappointed to a three year term on March 12, 2015 with an expiration date of March 12, 2018. At the recommendation of the Colorado Springs Health Foundation Board, Mayor Suthers and Councilmember Merv Bennett conducted interviews and agreed on reappointments.

Background:
The Colorado Springs Health Foundation (CSHF) was created to oversee the funds that the City of Colorado Springs receives from the lease of Memorial Health System, now operating as UCHealth - Memorial Hospital. This Foundation was charged with stewarding these funds in perpetuity for addressing health issues in the Pikes Peak Region.
