Body
Summary:
In an effort to increase communication with our citizens and promote transparency, the Public Works Department has developed two new online tools that provide important information to our citizens and customers: a Public Works Project Map with the location and key information about each project scheduled in 2017, and My Next Bus that provides real time bus arrival and departure information.

Background:
The 2017 Public Works Project Map is displayed on the City's webpage to show all projects relating to Stormwater, Transit, City Engineering, Traffic Engineering, and Operations and Maintenance efforts. Each project displays the description, location, status, estimated completion date and project cost. This information will automatically update when edits are made through our project coordination tool.

On June 29 of this year, Mountain Metropolitan Transit announced its My Next Bus real time technology is now available via Google Maps. My Next Bus gives riders the ability to find nearby bus stops, look up departure times, plan trips and get arrival predictions while they are on the go, using their phone.

These new online tools support the City's Strategic Plan goals: Building Community Collaborative Relationships by using technology to inform and engage the community; and Excelling in City Services by improving online service options and accessibility of information and service for all.
