  Summary:

Due to the resignation of Zach McComsey, effective 6/30/2017 an opening on the Colorado Springs Health Foundation Board became available.  This opening was posted online and several interviews were conducted.

  Background:

The Colorado Springs Health Foundation (CSHF) was created to oversee the funds that the City of Colorado Springs receives from the lease of Memorial Health System, now operating as UCHealth - Memorial Hospital. This Foundation was charged with stewarding these funds in perpetuity for addressing health issues in the Pikes Peak Region.

The current Colorado Springs Health Foundation Board members evaluated the applications received, conducted initial interviews, and provided recommendations for continued interviews.  Mayor Suthers and Councilmember Merv Bennett conducted final interviews and recommend appointment of Martha Barton for a three year term.
