Body

  Summary:

Representatives of El Paso County, Colorado Springs Utilities, Ft. Carson, the Fountain Urban Renewal Authority, the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce & EDC, the City of Colorado Springs, and developers have collaborated on a concept for a rail-served industrial park in southern El Paso County, which would utilize a rail spur associated with CSU’s Ray Nixon power plant.  While this proposed development is not within the City of Colorado Springs, it would be an important addition to the region’s economy.  This preview will serve to brief City Council and the public on the project’s potential and progress.
