Summary:
In 2015, the City of Colorado Springs experienced heavy rains that cause isolated landslides on the west side of the City. The City has cooperated with the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (CDHSEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist owners of landslide-damaged property, and the City has applied for grant funding from the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) to further assist these property owners.
This resolution formally expresses the support of City Council and the Mayor for the grant application.
