Title

Overview of the Broken Arrow Task Force mobilization exercises

Body

  From:

Christopher P. Riley, Fire Chief, Colorado Springs Fire Department

  Summary:

After recent experiences with wildfires and flooding in Colorado, it was recognized that normal mutual aid would not provide sufficient resources to respond and mitigate effectively.  A plan was developed to test the capability of placing 30 pieces of fire apparatus within 90 minutes at two staging areas on the Front Range to more effectively respond to major incidents in the state.  This task force has been named Broken Arrow.
