Summary:
Kelsey Hunt and Jerry Wilson will provide a review of the mission and operations of the Southern Colorado Educational Television Consortium (SCETC). SCETC is a partnership among local school districts, colleges and universities. SCETC’s mission is to enhance educational experiences for K-12 students, college students, their families and the citizens of Colorado Springs through the provision of media content and media opportunities. SCETC produces educational programming and broadcasts it over five channels that air on the system’s of the City’s three cable television franchisees: Comcast, CenturyLink, and Falcon Broadband. Funding for SCETC’s operations and access to educational channels is provided under the terms of the City’s franchise agreements with its franchisees.
