Title
Ordinance No. 15-50 amending Section 507 (License Fees Enumerated) of Part 5 (License Fees) of Article 1 (General Business License Provisions) of Chapter 2 (Business Licensing, Liquor Regulation and Taxation) of the Code of the City of Colorado Springs 2001, as amended, pertaining to pedal-cab services license fees

Body
From:
Council President Pro Tem Jill Gaebler

Summary:
This Ordinance enumerates the fees applicable to pedal-cab services licenses.

Previous Council Action:
N/A

Background:
If City Council adopts a new section of the business licensing code applicable to pedal-cab services, the fees associated with those newly adopted licenses will also need to be implemented. Because the fees are enumerated in part 5 of the existing business licensing code, a separate ordinance to amend the fees section to identify the fees for these newly adopted business licenses is necessary. Standard charges for the application fee ($0.00), annual license fee ($90.00), and duplicate license fee will apply for the pedal-cab company operator license. Standard charges for the application fee ($0.00), annual license fee ($90.00), annual background check fee ($7.00), and duplicate license fee ($5.00) will apply for a pedal-cab driver license.

Financial Implications:
Unknown at date of work session due to unknown number of potential licensees.

Board/Commission Recommendation:
N/A

Stakeholder Process:
N/A for the fees aspect of this initiative.

Alternatives:
City Council could decide not to adopt provisions authorizing pedal-cab services licenses which would negate the need for this ordinance. City Council could elect to adopt different fees or no fees for this license type.

Recommended Action
Proposed Motion:
A motion to approve an ordinance amending Section 507(License Fees Enumerated) of Part 5 (License Fees) of Article 1 (General Business License provisions) of Chapter 2 of the City Code of the City...
