  Summary:

This agenda item is to provide City Council with an overview of the services provided by the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR).

 

  Previous Council Action:

  Background:

On December 9, 2014, City Council approved the original 2015 Budget per Ordinance No. 14-101.  In accord with action taken by the Mayor and City Council when approving the 2015 budget, the City’s contract with the HSPPR, in the amount of $1,125,424, is allocated and appropriated from the General Fund.  The HSPPR has provided consistent and long-term enforcement of the City’s animal control ordinances.  The intent of this report Item is for the HSPPR to provide an overview of the services provided to the City of Colorado Springs and other municipalities in the Pikes Peak Region.

 

  Financial Implications:

The 2015 contract amount for the HSPPR is $1,125,424.
