Summary:
Housing and Community Initiatives (HCI) is requesting to amend 14-101 to adjust the 2015 Budget numbers for CDBG (Community Development Block Grant), HOME (Home Investment Partnership), and ESG (Emergency Solutions Grant) to reflect actual allocations from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Actual allocations were not known during the planning of the 2015 Budget for Housing and Community Initiatives.

Background:
The City of Colorado Springs receives annual Federal Entitlement Grants each year to fund three grant programs: CDBG, HOME, and ESG. These grants are administered by the Housing and Community Initiatives (HCI) Division.
During the planning of the 2015 budget, estimates were used in anticipation of these Entitlement Grants to establish budgets for these programs. HCI was notified in March 2015 of the actual allocations for these three funds:
CDBG: Original amount approved in Ordinance 14-101 - $2,500,000 ($2,400,000 with $100,000 Program Income anticipated)
Amended amount per Allocation Notice - $2,720,268 ($2,620,268 with $100,000 Program Income anticipated)
HOME: Original amount approved in Ordinance 14-101 - $1,250,000 ($825,000 with $425,000 Program Income anticipated)
