  Summary:

This is an update to City Council on the PlanCOS process primarily in the form of a PowerPoint presentation with an opportunity for questions and comments.

 

  Previous Council Action: 

The current version of the Comprehensive Plan was adopted by ordinance by City Council in 2001. There have been periodic subsequent updates of the Plan’s accompanying 2020 Land Use Map since that time.

 

  Background:

This is a periodic update concerning the PlanCOS, in the form of the attached PowerPoint presentation.

The new Comprehensive Plan is expected to be adopted by City Council in 2018.

The Strategic Plan directly supports and recommends this ongoing update of the Comprehensive Plan.

 

  Financial Implications:

The consultant contract associated with this update has been funded as part of the 2016 and 2017 City budgets.
