Summary:
At their July 22, 2015 Utilities Board meeting, City Council, acting as the Utilities Board, voted to hold a discussion at a City Council work session of issues relating to the provision of broadband internet services within the City of Colorado Springs. Options are varied, and no conclusions have been reached; one of the many options previously discussed is the possibility of including broadband internet as a “fifth utility” provided by Colorado Springs Utilities. As a result of this discussion, Council may provide staff with direction on this issue.
