Body

  Summary:

Work on AnnexCOS has continued with collaboration from the Technical Advisory Committee, Focus Groups, the Internal Working Group that comprises of the consultant and staff team as well as the liaison representatives from Planning Commission (Chair Andrea Slattery and Vice-chair Colby Foos) and City Council representatives (Councilmember Nancy Henjum and Councilmember Brian Risley).  This meeting is being held as an interactive work session to review and discuss the draft annexation guidelines, discuss goals and approach, and gather feedback. AnnexCOS is anticipated to recommend a strategic approach to logical annexations that supports the City’s vision for growth.

  Background:

The current City Annexation Plan was last updated in 2006 and is currently being updated through the AnnexCOS project. The cornerstone of the annexation evaluation through the current plan points to the comprehensive plan, PlanCOS, that directs staff to work towards an updated annexation plan.

  Financial Implications:

Future presentations from Logan Simpson and TischlerBise will be part of the AnnexCOS project moving forward and be presented to City Council at a future meeting.
