A resolution setting the fees for massage business licenses issued by the City Clerk’s Office  

 

  Background: 

This is a companion to the proposed ordinance establish a massage business licenses issued by the City Clerk’s Office.

The proposed business license fee for massage business is in line with all other general business license fees that were updated with an effective date of January 1, 2019 and reflected a 90% cost recovery of all direct and indirect costs at that time.

N/A.

 

  Financial Implications:

Approximately 160 massage businesses will now be required to have this license. This proposed new business license will increase city revenue by approximately $17,600.

  Stakeholder Process:

Councilmember Donelson worked with City staff and he spoke with several groups on this proposed new business license.
