Summary:
At the recommendation of the Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority Board and Executive Director, Jariah Walker, Mayor Yemi Mobolade recommends Gary Feffer for five-year reappointment.
Background:
The Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority (CSURA) was established by the City of Colorado Springs City Council in 1970 through the approval of Ordinance No. 3995.
The current board consists of thirteen commissioners appointed for a term of five-years and terms are staggered so one vacancy occurs each year. In accordance with HB15-1348, three additional commissioner positions have been added to the board: one to be appointed by El Paso County, one to be appointed by the School Districts, one to be appointed by the Special Districts and 10 to be appointed by the Mayor.
