Summary:
Donnis Martin was appointed to serve a four year term on 4/1/2018, and turned in her resignation in November of 2020. Mayor Suthers, along with City Councilmember Tom Strand, Colorado Springs Housing Authority Board Executive Director, Chad Wright conducted interviews to fill the remaining year of Ms. Martin’s term. Mayor Suthers recommends Eddie Rodriguez for appointment.

Background:
Members of the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Colorado Springs and approved by the Colorado Springs City Council in accordance with state law. The board consists of seven commissioners appointed for a term of four years and terms are staggered so one vacancy occurs each year.

City Council approved the appointment of Donnis Martin in April of 2018.
