Triview Metropolitan District (Triview) is requesting an addendum to its agreement for Convey, Treat and Deliver Regional Water Service from Colorado Springs Utilities that clarifies customers that Triview may serve. Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking City Council approval of a resolution authorizing and directing its Chief Executive Officer to enter into an addendum to the Agreement for Convey, Treat, and Deliver Regional Water Service with Triview.
Background:
Triview's service area is located north of the City. Triview has a Convey, Treat and Deliver Regional Water Service from Colorado Springs Utilities through a special contract for the treatment and delivery through Colorado Springs Utilities' water system of up to 2,200 acre-feet per year of water owned or controlled by Triview. Regional contracts for regional water service require prior approval from City Council.

Financial Implications:
Based on the existing Tariffs, Colorado Springs Utilities would collect up to approximately $1.65 million per year once Triview begins receiving water deliveries.

The Utilities Board recommended bringing the proposed Addendum to the Agreement for Convey, Treat, and Deliver Regional Water Service to City Council for consideration.
