Summary:
The City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County consolidated their respective Offices of Emergency Management to create the Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management on January 22, 2019. It is proposed that the City enter into another three-year intergovernmental agreement with El Paso County to regionalize emergency management functions. At the conclusion of the three-year period, the staff will report back to City Council on metrics, survey data and other factors related to the success of the effort.
Background:
The City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County consolidated their respective Offices of Emergency Management to create the Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management on January 22, 2019.
Previous Council Action:
City Council adopted the Resolution approving the original IGA on January 22, 2019.
