The anniversary of the signing of the Constitution provides a historic cultural opportunity for all Americans to recognize the value and success of a nation of free people whose rights and liberties are protected by a written Constitution and to reflect on the rights and privileges of citizenship as well as its attendant responsibilities. The independence granted to the American people by the Constitution should be celebrated on Constitution Day, September 17, 2019.
