Summary:
Repeal and replace Article 3 of Chapter 2 - Article 3 (Sales of Goods and Services) comprises most of the license types issued by the City Clerk's Office. This ordinance reordains Article 3 which includes changes for structural hierarchy and flow outline to be consistent for all of specific license types and proposes renumbering parts to eliminate unused sections (from prior 2014 repeals). Other proposed changes to Article 3 include adding background check requirements for massage business employees as required by recent state legislation, updated insurance requirements for applicable license types, addressing emerging technologies, and conformance to applicable state statues. Background:
The proposed changes to Business Licensing codes are the result of a multi-year effort to update and modernize the business licensing code for the City Clerk's Office and are the initial entries for forthcoming comprehensive City Code updates.

Previous Council Action:
Various individual parts within Article 3 of Chapter 2 have been updated over the years, primarily in 2014.
