Appointment Expiration
Jesse Spaeth 04/18/2024 04/01/2028
Background:
Members of the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Colorado Springs and approved by the Colorado Springs City Council in accordance with state law. The board consists of seven commissioners appointed for a term of four years and terms are staggered so one vacancy occurs each year. Commissioners may serve two consecutive four-year terms on the Board of Commissioners. Upon completing two consecutive four-year terms, an outgoing commissioner must wait one year before applying for an open vacancy on the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Jesse Spaeth began his first four-year term on April 16, 2020; his term expires 04/01/2024. With the support of the Board of Commissioners, Mr. Spaeth reapplied for his second term, which, if approved, will commence at the Annual Meeting of the Board on Thursday, April 18, 2024, and end April 1, 2028.
