Summary:
City Council, Legislative Services, City Attorney's Office, and City Clerk have completed a bi-annual revision of the Rules and Procedures of City Council.
The following Rules were amended or added: Rule 1-2 Powers and Duties, Rule 2-8 Recognitons, Rule 2-9 Policy Resolutions, Rule 2-10 Invocations, Rule 3-13 Parliamentary Procedure for Motions, Rule 4-1 Hearing Process, and Rule 8-2 Finances
Background:
In 2020, City Council, Legislative Services, City Attorney's Office, and City Clerk completed a
comprehensive revision of the Rules and Procedures of City Council. Since their adoption, Legislative Services has been keeping a running list of minor changes that need to be added or amended.
Previous Council Action:
City Council adopted the current Rules and Procedures of City Council with Resolution 39-25 on March 25, 2025.
