The City Attorney's Office - Utilities Division will present a Decision and Order and Resolution for the 2024 Water Rate Case based upon the October 24, 2023, public hearing held for Colorado Springs Utilities' 2024 Rate Case filed on September 12, 2023.
Background:
On September 12, 2023, Colorado Springs Utilities submitted a 2024 Rate Case filing that included certain proposed changes to the Water Rate Schedules effective January 1, 2024. In accordance with Colorado Springs City Code ? 12.1.108, City Council held a public hearing on October 24, 2023, regarding Colorado Springs Utilities' 2024 Water Rate Case.
The Decision and Order summarizes Colorado Springs Utilities' 2024 Water Rate Case and the record of the public hearing held on October 24, 2023. The Decision and Order also contains City Council's initial directions at that public hearing regarding the 2024 Water Rate Case. The final Decision and Order and final Resolution presented for approval by City Council at the November 14, 2023, meeting includes any City Council directed revisions from the November 13, 2023, Work Session meeting.
