Summary:
Stephannie was appointed to the Colorado Springs City Council in January 2022 as a Councilmember for District 3 to fill the unexpired term of Richard Skorman.
Before joining City Council, Stephannie had an extensive career in public service to include working for the White House in Presidential Advance, serving as Chief of Staff for a Colorado Congressman, ascending to Assistant Director at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Chief of Staff for the Lt. Governor under Governor Bill Owens, and working for the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs.
After being appointed to City Council, Stephannie went right to work for the residents of District 3 by prioritizing the Westside Community Center to find a solution regarding management of the property and keeping it fully operational so it could remain a valuable part of the westside community; and
During her time on City Council, Stephannie served on the Wildfire Mitigation Advisory Committee and Region 16 Opioid Abatement Council.
City Council thanks Stephannie for her public servants heart that continued to serve residents of Colorado Springs and District 3 during difficult personal times. Her strength and love of the community is evident to anyone who has had the privilege of working alongside her.
