Summary:
The attached Ordinance is a supplemental appropriation of revenue and expenditure for the Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $425,154, Emergency Solutions Grant in the amount of $17,355, and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program in the amount of $508,583. The requested appropriation adds to the existing appropriation approved in Ordinance No. 17-116 (2018 Appropriation Ordinance) for the previously mentioned funds, providing the spending authority for the full amount of the approved grant agreements from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The source of funds consists of grant revenue from HUD.
Previous Council Action:
On December 12, 2017, City Council approved the 2018 Budget per Ordinance No. 17-116, which included the appropriation for the Community Development Block Grant ($2,572,227), Emergency Solutions Grant ($226,391), and the HOME Investment Partnership Program ($1,012,588); and
On February 12, 2018, City Council approved the 2018 Annual Action Plan for use of Federal Block Grant Funds (CDBG, HOME, ESG) provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through Resolution No. 9-18.
