Summary:
An informational presentation on the 2020 PlanCOS Annual Report. This presentation will go over recent data related to the Keystone Indicators as well as updates on the Key Initiatives. This presentation and report will also dive into related initiatives which further the goals of the comprehensive plan.
The 2020 PlanCOS Annual Report is being presented as a draft and may be adjusted if the City Council sees any errors or anything that may need to be changed or updated.
Background:
PlanCOS, the city's comprehensive guide to growth and development, was adopted by City Council in January of 2019. Yearly, a report will evaluate whether objectives are being achieved by reporting on: Keystone Indicators and other measures of success; progress on recommended major city initiatives; experience with the development review process; and if there are any recommendations for realignment of strategic city priorities related to the Plan. 2020 is the second year of the plan's implementation, and the 2020 annual report makes a few adjustments in layout to focus more on indictor data and inferences on what the data represents. Also, the 2020 annual report adds an additional section titled "COVID-19 Response" highlighting a few of the many efforts and necessary redirection to address the ongoing global pandemic.
Previous Council Action:
The City Council voted to approve PlanCOS in January 2019, then heard an informational presentation on the 2019 annual report in June 2020.
