The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center, the National Association of State Chief Information Officers and the National Cybersecurity Alliance have declared October as a National Cyber security Awareness Month; and all citizens are encouraged to utilize these resources to learn about Cybersecurity/ and put that knowledge into practice in their homes, schools, workplaces, and businesses.
