Summary:
City Council, Council Staff, City Attorney's Office, and City Clerk have completed a bi-annual revision of the Rules and Procedures of City Council.
The following Rules were amended or added: Rule 2-7 Public Participation, Rule 3-12 Special Motions, Rule 5-3 Attendance, Rule 5-7 Election of Officers, Rule 5-8 Powers and Duties of Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary, Rule 5-9 Voting, Rule 7-1 Councilmember Investigations, and Rule 8-2 Finances.
Background:
In 2020, City Council, Council Staff, City Attorney's Office, and City Clerk completed a comprehensive revision of the Rules and Procedures of City Council. Since their adoption, Council Staff has been keeping a running list of minor changes that need to be added or amended.
Previous Council Action:
City Council adopted the current Rules and Procedures of City Council with Resolution 152-22.
