  Summary:

Pikes Peak Community Foundation and The Denver Foundation would present an update of the grant and business lending program of House Bill 17-1326, the Criminal Justice Reinvestment Crime bill (Transforming Safety).

 

  Previous Council Action: 

City Council passed Resolution 161-17 at their December 12, 2017 meeting.

 

  Background:

Pikes Peak Community Foundation and The Denver Foundation provide an update of the grant and business lending program of House Bill 17-1326, the Criminal Justice Reinvestment Crime bill (Transforming Safety). We had the opportunity to present for your approval in December 2017, the process to select the Local Planning Team responsible for determining the crime prevention priorities and service area boundaries. This is the first year of a 3 year investment for Southeast Colorado Springs.
