Summary:
A public hearing will be conducted for City Council to consider changes to Colorado Springs Utilities’ Electric Rate Schedules and changes to Utilities Rules and Regulations as reflected in the July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case filing to be effective April 1, 2027.
Background:
On July 7, 2026, Colorado Springs Utilities distributed the July 2026 Net Metering Rate Case, including resolutions, tariff sheets, and all supporting documentation for proposed changes.
In accordance with the City Code of the City of Colorado Springs § 12.1.108, copies of the rate filing, including the resolutions and all supporting documentation, were made available for public inspection in the City Clerk office beginning on July 7, 2026. An electronic copy was also available on Colorado Springs Utilities' website at www.csu.org. Notice of the proposed changes was provided by publication in The Gazette on July 17, 2026, was also posted on.
Previous Council Action:
On July 14, 2026, City Council established a public hearing date of August 25, 2026.
