  Summary:

City Council adopts its annual “Report to the Citizens” as required by City Charter Section 3-10(d), to ensure accountability to the citizens of the City of Colorado Springs.

During 2017, City Council adopted an ordinance requiring City Council to deliver its annual report to the Mayor by April 1, 2018; as a result, this year’s report will cover the period of April - December 2017, and future reports will cover one full calendar year.

New this year, Council will include several multimedia and social media elements in the online package that includes the referenced printed report.  The video elements will include interviews with Councilmembers and video selections from Council meetings and other events during the year.

City Council adopted its previous report on August 22, 2017.

This item supports the City’s strategic goal relating to building community and collaborative relationships by ensuring citizens are informed of City Council’s activities.
