Mayor Suthers recommends Jim Mason to complete the remainder of Tiffany Colvert’s term on the URA.

Background:
The Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority (CSURA) was established by the City of Colorado Springs City Council in 1970 through the approval of Ordinance No. 3995.
The current board consists of nine commissioners appointed for a term of five years and terms are staggered so one vacancy occurs each year. Accordance with HB-1348, four additional commissioner positions have been added to the board: one to be appointed by El Paso County, one to be appointed by the School Districts, one to be appointed by the Special Districts and one to be appointed by the Mayor.
Previous Council Action:
Tiffany Colvert was elected to serve on the URA Board in April, 2018 and resigned in October, 2021 before her term ended in April, 2023.
