Body
Note: This agenda item is related to and explained in more detail with the preceding item on today's agenda: (Ordinance Changing the Name of the Southwest Downtown BID to the Park Union BID). Refer also to the PowerPoint included with that agenda item.

Summary:
This resolution acknowledges a change in name of these metropolitan districts as provided for in Colorado Revised Statutes. With the exception of the name change, all other provisions of the original service plan remain in force and effect.

As further discussed with the preceding BID name change, the boards of these districts desire to market and brand the associated development as "Park Union".

Previous Council Action:
On September 26, 2017 City Council approved a service plan precedent to formation these metropolitan districts with the name "Southwest Downtown" (Resolution 107-17). In 2001 City Council approved an urban renewal plan for this area. Debt has been issued by the associated Business Improvement District, with a pledge from one or both of these metropolitan districts.

Background:
This resolution acknowledges the above-referenced name change. Although not legally or formally required, it will serve as further documentation of the change. In order to track back with prior approvals and actions, going forward, these metropolitan districts may be referred to as "Park Union Metropolitan District Nos. 1& 2 (formerly known as Southwest Downtown Metropolitan District Nos 1 & 2)"
