 Summary:
City Council has considered a charter amendment relating to the direction and supervision of City Auditor and City Council employees.  Those employees are currently under the supervision and direction of the Mayor.  The City Attorney's Office has reviewed the original ordinance as well as an alternative that was presented by a citizen, and has developed the attached draft to conform to Council's policy direction and City Charter.
 
 Previous Council Action:  
City Council previously considered this issue at its regular meeting on June 24, 2014, at which time Council postponed the further consideration of the item to the November 24, 2014 City Council work session.  On November 24, City Council referred the item to the regular meeting agenda of December 9, 2014, at which time it was postponed further to the work session meeting on January 12, 2015
