  Summary:

Pursuant to the requirements of Article 1, Chapter 5, Part 1, Section 113 of the Code of the City of Colorado Springs 2001, as amended, governing the conduct of a Municipal Mail Ballot Election, the City Clerk submits the April 2, 2019 General Municipal Election and potential May 21, 2019 Mayoral Run-Off Election Mail Ballot Plan for City Council approval.

 

  Previous Council Action: 

City Council approved a similar mail ballot plan in 2016.

 

  Background:

Pursuant to the requirements of Article 1, Chapter 5, Part 1, Section 113 of the Code of the City of Colorado Springs 2001, as amended, governing the conduct of a Municipal Mail Ballot Election, the City Clerk submits the April 2, 2019 General Municipal Election and potential May 21, 2019 Mayoral Run-Off Election Mail Ballot Plan for City Council approval.

 

  Financial Implications:

The proposed 2019 City Budget includes $350,000 for election expenses.
