The Colorado Springs City Council reaffirms its constitutional right to home rule authority over local land use and zoning decisions. The Resolution opposes recent state housing laws and Governor Polis’s executive order that restricts local control and threatens funding for noncompliant municipalities.  It also voices City Councils support for other Colorado home rule cities engaged in litigation to protect local self-governance.
